About the role
You own quality across three bottling lines, from incoming ingredients to the pallet that leaves the yard. When a batch drifts you lead the investigation; when an auditor arrives you are the person who answers. The role reports into Operations and manages a team of four inspectors.
What you will do
- Own the sampling plan and the release decision for every batch
- Lead root cause investigations and sign off corrective actions
- Keep the plant audit-ready against ISO 22000 and our internal standards
- Coach four inspectors and run their calibration
- Report quality performance to plant leadership every week
Coverage
Inspection cover rotates across the team.
| Line | Shift | Inspection points |
|---|---|---|
| Line 1 | 06:00 to 14:00 | Syrup room, filler, palletiser |
| Line 2 | 14:00 to 22:00 | Filler, labeller, palletiser |
| Line 3 | 22:00 to 06:00 | Syrup room, filler |
Who you will work with
You report to the Plant Operations Manager and sit on the 07:15 production meeting, where the previous day is walked line by line before anyone opens a laptop. Four inspectors report to you, one per shift plus a relief, and you own their calibration and their development reviews.
Outside the plant you hold a standing weekly with Group Quality, you are the named contact for external auditors, and you sign off the two co-packers who bottle under our label. The night shift will call you when a line stops, and the expectation is that you answer.
